The mining excavator with the dipper capacity of 12 m3 is designed for heavy-duty service. Rack-and-pinion crowd mechanism with double-leg dipper handle, double-crawler undercarriage with individual drive for each crawler and cable reel provide high machine mobility and opportunity to operate in heavy benches. Rack-and-pinion crowd mechanism with double-leg dipper handle, a traditional “rigid” scheme for Uralmash mining excavators, is chosen as the working equipment scheme. This scheme, providing rigidity of working element, and the dipper hanger with no tackle ensure effective rock excavation in extreme conditions. Working equipment elements are made of high-strength steels ensuring trouble-free operation under high dynamic loads. Special bucket geometry (large width and shallow depth) allows loading rock mass in dump trucks with 75-120 t capacity and railway dump cars. Basic technical parameters
