Mechanical shovel with cable crowd. Designed for open-pit mining of minerals and overburden rocks in ground of up to V category including, overburden rocks dumping, and high-volume excavation works in industrial engineering.

The excavator ensures high output and manoeuvrability, is easy to operate and maintain.

The shovel present day design and application of high-strength steels in essential mechanisms and low-alloy steels in basic bearing structures maintain the excavator reliable operation during heavy dynamic loads and at ambient temperature from -40°C to 45°C.

The dipper is equipped with a redesigned dipper door brake mechanism reducing vibrations and preventing the dipper handle and body from the door impacts.

Dipper hanger is made of one tackle with balancing;sheave based on the cross tube of boom top segment. Application of new dipper hanger construction has decreased the load on the boom when digging. Strengthened handle beam with rigidly fixed half-blocks has increased the handle fatigue endurance limit.

Unified crowd and hoist winches design. All the shovel mechanisms are provided with individual electric drives. Hoist, swinging and crowd drives are equipped with oil heaters.

All excavator drives are equipped with disk electromagnetic brakes which activate during control circuits opening and excavator blackout.

Basic technical parameters

Swinging mechanism consists of three planetary gear cases with individual drives and disk electromagnetic brakes.

To lubricate tooth gears swing gear cases are fitted with individual pumping units and pressure-check relay which cut out swing drive at no lubricant circulating.

At low temperatures swing drives oil is heated by electric heaters with automatic cut-in and cut-out at stated intervals of operational temperatures.

Undercarriage with large rollers consists of two shortened crawler trucks preventing track adjusting mechanism from dipper impacts.

Separate from undercarriage the travel gear case is fixed to it by four fingers to increase its reliability.

The excavator is supplied with the tools and spare parts kits.

We perform erection, commissioning and turnkey of the shovels EKG-15 as a form of the corporate service of fabricated mining equipment.

All set of works is carried out for 120 days. Accelerated work performance is provided by increased machine erection availability, presetting and block electrics enlargement, and proficiency of erection crews specializing in the assembly of the concrete type machines.
