We supply spare parts for this excavator model from stock in Krasnoyarsk and place orders with machine-building plants. Requests are received by fax: +7 (391) 2901555, 2901500, and 2901501. Created on the basis of EKG-15. Compared to the core model its hoist effort is increased from 150 t to 170 t and crowd hoist is increased from 65 t to 80 t. Boom hanger rope diameters are increased from 52 mm to 57 mm, bearing structures of working equipment (boom and braces) are reinforced. The EKG-18 major advantage is a double crawler undercarriage of tractor type with built-up forged wheels of high-alloy steel with hardness across the section 420: 470: HB. Ten meter tension axis shared by two undercarriages is liquidated. Tension is executed on each undercarriage separately due to build-in hydraulic jacks. Base frame cross section is essentially increased in troublesome zone. Crawler frames retention to the base frame is improved. The power of each crawler drive is increased from 110 kW to 230 kW thus increasing the nominal travel speed to 0,75 km/h and improving conditions for the shovel turn. Undercarriage width is reduced to 1300 mm, this improves the digging conditions during the excavator “angle” operation. Crawler links 1500 mm in width provide average ground pressure at moving 2,40 kg/cm2. The EKG-18 essential advantage is the use of the dipper with its widened front wall and reduced in height back wall. The new dipper ensures improved introduction into the bench face, complete filling of the dipper, and reduction of energy intensity and the dipper loading time. The dipper pulley yoke is fitted on the dipper back wall, rocker arm is not set. Set up of seven instead of five teeth on the cutting edge reduces wear of the dipper front wall between teeth. To reduce its wear the dipper door is lined with wearproof sheet. Brasses are built in saddle block in order to improve the unit work through its reliability increase.
