Full-revolving electric digging walking machine with dragline working equipment. It is designed for excavation of ground of category I to IV including when stripping overburden with direct dumping the waste either into the mined-out space or to the pit side. Blast-loosening is demanded when mining the ground of category III and IV.
Walking draglines ESh-20/90 has been manufactured since 1981 in substitution for ESh-15/90A. Like ESh-15/90A the walking dragline ESh20/90 has a triangular cable boom, a superstructure made of tubular elements, four-gearbox swing drive, similar schemes of hoist and drag winches. In comparison with ESh-15/90A the excavator ESh-20/90 has a new package of electrical equipment with increased capacity and lift hydraulic cylinders with increased diameter; the assembly of mechanisms on the revolving frame is changed, a number of other developments is introduced.
The dragline ESh-20/90 properties are:
- a triangular three-dimensional cable boom with three tubular chords;
- hydraulic walking mechanism with two lift and two drag hydraulic cylinders;
- dipper hanger on two strings of hoist and drag ropes;
- running-in of drag ropes with the system of oscillating boom point sheaves and fixed sheaves on the superstructure;
- the base and revolving frame consist of segments connected by high-strength bolts;
direct current electric drive (generator-motor system) of main mechanisms with transistor excitation of the generators and motors;
- the use of the excavators at temperature up to -40°C.
The walking dragline ESh-20/90 and its modifications ESh-15/90 and ESh-15/100 are used in open-pit mining. They are designed for stripping overburden rocks with direct dumping the waste either into the mined-out space or to the pit side. Partial or whole blast-loosening is demanded when mining rocky material.
The excavator ESh-20/90 is equipped with:
a winch with 5 t capacity (for opening of the top part of house gates, hoist of drag ropes troughs and running-in of work ropes and others);
electric overhead travelling crane with 20 t capacity (for load handling during the assembly and repair of the equipment set on the revolving frame);
electric hoists with 3 t and 5 t capacity (for the service of pumping units, compressor stations and others);
jib crane with 8 t capacity (for the set and removal of boom point sheaves, drag hoist ropes blocks).
